PINE FINES

PineFInes_2.jpg

The pine fines that we sell are the bark of the pine tree that is ground up.  It is generally used as a soil amendment, adding it to your soil improves it's structure by increasing the soil nutrients, aeration as well as water retention. The smaller size of pine fines, usually around the size of a pencil eraser, is better fit for raised or small flower beds as well as container gardens and blueberry bushes as it raises the acidic acid of the soil, ideal for these June berries.

This acidity is also ideal for turning those beautiful summertime hydrangea blossoms to a stunning purple or deep blue. They also are well beloved by the some of the prettiest bloomers in our southern area including camellias, azaleas, roses and rhododendrons.
