Compost is one of those products that many can have a love-hate relationship with. We all love what this nutrient booster does for our soil.  It helps to retain moisture, control and limit weeds and promote the growth of beneficial microbes and therefore plants. It also smells really, really strong especially as the North Carolina summers heat up. Like worse than that cold, winter car ride home from the ballgame with teenage boys.
